Why?

The Eastside kinda gets a bad wrap in Santa Barbara. We "Eastsiders" know that we live in a remarkable part of town that has so much to offer!

The goals of this blog are:

(1) To call to attention the Beauty of the Eastside and publicize the ongoing efforts and organizations which work hard to continually beautifying the neighborhood

(2) To Build community by advertising the local group activities and neighborhood events

(3) To Bring more Business to the present establishments and to encourage new businesses to come our way!

We hope our neighbors are encouraged by this blog and find it helpful and useful in accomplishing these goals.

We want to share the charm of the Eastside to those families and individuals who might be interested in moving into the Eastside. Our neighborhood has history. Our neighborhood offers a ton of family oriented activities. Our neighborhood is a throwback to the days when you knew all of your neighbors and trusted them to keep an eye out for your home and your family.

There is a movement among the residents, local businesses and city committees to make the Eastside the most desirable and cutest neighborhood in town. This blog hopes to make that movement a little more recognizable.
